Exciting news for the Bow Valley community!
As proud supporters of the Higher Ground project, we are thrilled to see today’s announcement of over $20 million in funding toward Phase 1 of this incredible initiative in Canmore. This investment will help bring 120 much-needed affordable housing units to our community.
Higher Ground was one of only 41 projects across Alberta selected through the Alberta and Canada Affordable Housing Investment Program — and the only project in Canmore to receive funding in this round.
Affordable and sustainable housing continues to be one of the most important conversations in the Bow Valley, and this announcement marks a major step forward. Huge congratulations to everyone involved, including Higher Ground, the Town of Canmore, community partners, donors, and volunteers who have helped move this vision closer to reality.
