Pine Tree Players is pleased to present The Wizard of Oz adapted by Erin Detrick based on the novel by L. Frank Baum, directed by Chelsea Howell-Fellows.Please bring your own seating, blankets and festival chairs are preferred.
When Dorothy drops into the Land of Oz, only one thing is certain: she’s got to find a way back to Kansas. A funny and fast-paced journey down the yellow brick road ensues, as Dorothy and her new friends travel to the fabled Emerald City to meet the Great Oz. When Oz demands a steep price for sending her home, a perilous new adventure begins. Full of ensemble possibilities, this imaginative adaptation captures the heart of L. Frank Baum’s classic tale.
This play contains:Themes of: Loss, disaster, violence;Descriptions of: dismemberment, murder threats.
Everyday except Monday and Tuesday. Play starts at 01:00 PM.

Canmore Mountain Market – Elevation Place
Visit over 75 vendors every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from May through to October at Elevation Place. The Canmore Mountain Market has been a summer tradition for over twenty-five years.
Visitors and locals are treated to an excellent selection of locally and regionally produced items including fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, jams and coffee. The market also offers unique crafts, art, clothing, jewelry and other artisanal products.
Patrons can experience the market rain or shine, sip on a coffee, enjoy the live music and peruse the vendors – all with a beautiful mountain backdrop.

Canmore Enduro – Canmore Nordic Center
Resurrected in 2018, Steedz Enduro MTB has had a sell out attendance since 2021 at 250 racers with help from over 60 volunteers making the Canmore Enduro the biggest race in Alberta!
With the Steedz Enduro MTB Team leading the charge with support from their event sponsors and racer feedback, they’ve created:
- Affordable Women’s and LGTBQIA2S+ Intro To Enduro Clinics to get new racers ready to tackle their first Enduro Race with confidence
- An inclusive and HIGH stoke environment suitable for all riders regardless of skill, gender or ethnicity. They operate off that “One Love” mantra
- A separate stage order for Women Racers, its like a women’s enduro within the Enduro
- 6 stages designed with alternate lines when things get zesty for those playing it safe
So come be a part of the party either on your bike between the tape, as a volunteer, vendor, sponsor or spectator.

Tie-Dye Workshop with CYAN – Ralph Connor Memorial United Church Canmore
Join the Canmore Young Adult Network for a hands-on Tie-Dye Workshop where you’ll bring new life to something plain! Bring your own white t-shirt, pants, tote bag, or any item you’d like to transform – we’ll handle the rest. In this workshop, you’ll explore the hot dyeing method – perfect for deep, lasting colour that won’t fade after a few washes!
You’ll learn:
- How to fold and bind fabric in multiple creative styles
- The correct way to calculate dye amounts (so you use just what you need – no waste!)
- The difference between hot and cold dyeing, and why we’re turning up the heat!
Bring your own white or light-colored cotton item (T-shirt, tote, etc.) to transform. We’ll provide all the dye materials and a handmade mini-guide you can take home with all the steps and tips we’ll cover.
No experience needed – come get creative, hang out, and leave with your very own tie-dye masterpiece.

Friday Night Comedy: Ophira Eisenberg – Arts Place
Ophira Eisenberg is a Canadian standup comedian, writer, and host. She hosted NPR’s comedy trivia show Ask Me Another for 9-years, where she interviewed and played silly games with hundreds of celebrities including Sir Patrick Stewart, Awkwafina, Rosie Perez, Yo-Yo Ma, Bob The Drag Queen, Nick Kroll, Chelsea Handler, Jim Gaffigan, Michael C. Hall, and so many others.As a comic and a parent to a 6-year-old, Ophira is the host of the new comedy podcast Parenting Is A Joke co-produced by iHeart Radio and Pretty Good Friends Productions.
She has appeared on Comedy Central, This Week at The Comedy Cellar, Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, HBO’s Girls, Gotham Live, The Late Late Show, The Today Show, and VH-1. The New York Times called her a skilled comedian and storyteller with “bleakly stylish” humor. She was also selected as one of New York Magazine’s “Top 10 Comics that Funny People Find Funny,” and hailed by Forbes as one of the most engaging comics working today.
