Canmore Mountain Market – Elevation Place
it over 75 vendors every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from May through to October at Elevation Place. The Canmore Mountain Market has been a summer tradition for over twenty-five years.
Visitors and locals are treated to an excellent selection of locally and regionally produced items including fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, jams and coffee. The market also offers unique crafts, art, clothing, jewelry and other artisanal products.
Patrons can experience the market rain or shine, sip on a coffee, enjoy the live music and peruse the vendors – all with a beautiful mountain backdrop.
Every Thursday until Fall.

Canmore Festival for Arts and Creativity – Arts Place
September 12 | 7:00–10:00 PMThe weekend kicks off with an evening of live music featuring Distrito Salsa and Zebra. Guests can also enjoy a cozy campfire gathering, a special blessing, and opening remarks from the mayor.
Saturday, September 13 | 10:00 AM–4:00 PMThroughout the day, visitors are invited to take part in free art workshops, explore a lively market, and experience cultural performances on stage. In the evening, from 6:30 to 9:00 PM, the energy shifts to a vibrant night market featuring neon drag and circus acts. The night continues with a high-energy dance party, Unconditional Wub, running from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
Sunday, September 14 | 10:00 AM–4:00 PMSunday brings more opportunities to explore the market, enjoy artist demonstrations, and watch performances on the community stage. The weekend wraps up with the Bike Shorts Film Fest at 7:00 PM. Please note that RSVP is required for the film screening.
All events are free and open to drop-in attendees, with the exception of the film night. This weekend celebration marks 10 years of creativity, community, and culture.

The Bow Valley Ultra- Kananaskis Area
September 27th – 28th
The Bow Valley Ultra is an inaugural 100-mile trail running event set in the picturesque Kananaskis region, starting and ending in Canmore, Alberta. Scheduled for September 27, 2025, this race aims to enhance local tourism during the fall season while showcasing the stunning Bow Valley trails. Participants must complete a qualifying 50-mile trail race and contribute at least 8 hours of trail work prior to the event.
The course features an out-and-back route with an estimated elevation gain of 4,000 to 6,000 meters. Racers will have 30 hours to complete the challenge, with generous cutoff times for safety.
