Canada the Musical- The Carter Ryan Theatre- Multiple dates and times

It’s back and bigger than ever! A 90-minute musical joy ride of a show dedicated to Canada’s amazing music scene. Three incredible performers! Dozens of amazing sing-along-able songs! Wednesday- Saturday, 7:30pm, Sunday 2pm and 7:30pm. No shows on Monday and Tuesdays.

Bow Valley Film Tour - Arts Place- August 8th and 10th

A small festival with a big heart.
The Bow Valley Film Tour is an annual event that features a collection of 9 stories by 7 filmmakers. The set of incredible films celebrate the spirit of the mountains, water, life, and dreams. The tour is organized in and around the Bow Valley region, sharing stories from the community with the community. The tour includes films that highlight various aspects of outdoor adventure, mountain culture, environmental issues, and human life. Each night will consist of 7 films. There will be a 30 minute panel discussion with the filmmakers at the end of the evening.

Métis Plant Identification Walk- Cave and Basin- August 18th

Enjoy a leisurely walk to identify local plants from an Indigenous perspective. Learn how plants of the Rocky Mountains are used for food & medicine by Alberta's Métis communities, with stories from a Métis herbalist. The gentle pace of this tour is suitable for most participants & their families. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes.

Canmore Highland Games - Centennial Park

The mandate of our Society is to foster and encourage our Celtic culture and tradition in all its forms – dance, music and sports, and to establish the Canmore Highland Games as an entertainment/cultural destination event. “The Highland Games have become an integral part of our community identity over the years – and a well loved event at the end of the summer,” says Mayor John Borrowman, “As well, the games continue to bring visitors here to enjoy our beautiful mountain town, and add to the sustainability of many small businesses.”
